Building regulations

Thermal insulation buildings products have to fullfill various requirements according to the rules and regulations existing in countries .

Products must be in accordance :

-in EU with construction product directive CPD EE 89/106 which concerns insulation material properties through one of its six essential requirements :

energy,economy and heat retention

-in USA with ASTM or ASHRAE standards.

CE marking is mandatory in EU countries . It shows harmonized technical data

for a given product . These technical data are coming from harmonized EU test methods and their values are declared by the producer , like thermal conductivity lambda or thermal resistance R

On a local basis , or European one , products may be certified by a third part body , like Keymark organisation.
