Where big quantities of energy is used, e.g. within petrochemical and paper and pulp industries, thermal insulation is necessary in order to reduce expensive energy losses. Tanks, kettles and ovens are units that are often working at very high temperatures. Good insulation will save energy considerably, which will benefit the environment and keep the working costs down. At the same time the insulation will reduce temperature fall, which could disturb the production process.
