Industry insulation (including nuclear)
We offer a wide range of thermal insulation solutions, including products that can be used within nuclear power generation applications. The range includes slabs, pipe sections and wired mats offering thermal and fire performance, plus the added benefit of not contributing to corrosion of austenitic steel structures under the insulation.
What does industry insulation do?
Our industrial thermal insulation can be used in a large range of applications, including process pipelines, vessels or high-temperature boilers. The wide selection of industrial insulation products includes pipe sections, slabs or wired mat, whether made from glass wool, stone wool, or our patented ‘Isover Ultimate™’ insulation - mechanically resistant mineral wool.
At 1.2m long, U TECH Pipe Sections are longer than the industry standard; reducing the number of joints required and providing greater coverage on straight pipe runs - saving both time and money. Created with Ultimate™ for thermal performance, they offer a lighter weight (compared to traditional mineral wool) yet robust pipe section for industrial pipework.
Designed to provide thermal performance in mainly circular or uneven industry applications. Stitched with a galvanised wire mat for flexible installation and mechanical strength, and available in a number of different nominal densities for use with a maximum service temperature of 700°C. Applications include large diameter pipes, tanks, vessels, furnaces, chimneys, boilers and other industrial equipment.
Designed to provide thermal and performance in mainly rectangular industry applications - MT 5.1 and HT 6.1 have been certified to EN ISO 11654 and EN ISO 354 for sound absorption. TECH Slabs are available in a number of different nominal densities for use at a maximum of 700°C service temperature. Applications include large tanks, vessels, furnaces, chimneys, boilers and other industrial equipment.
